Many IAPO courses require students to complete and pass a competitive exam. A small number of IAPO courses offer coursework that can be used towards an MBA; however, the majority of the coursework in the professional organizations training requires Graduates to complete a course in business administration or a related course.
Community college courses that teach logistics principles are often offered at vocational schools and technical/trade schools. Graduates of these schools can choose to take a correspondence course or an online logistics degree. Correspondence courses are typically offered for one year at a time.
